Making Video conferencing a true business tool

For over 15 years video conferencing has been touted as the next thing in business communications. When it was originally launched it was hoped that the technology would reduce business travel and expand international business but the reality has been poor quality video and high cost of installation.

A recent survey of businesses in the USA and Asia found that over 61% of users complained about quality issues with either dropped calls or low picture quality even though the actual video conferencing systems they were using were high quality.

The recent economic downturn has meant that many companies are now looking at ways to save costs and video conferencing systems are now becoming more popular once again.

In order to improve quality of communication many are looking at installing high capacity leased lines which are very expensive when they don’t need to. An alternative is to use low cost Internet bonding solutions which will users to keep costs down and at the same time experience HD video conferencing.
